KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A Michigan man is facing charges after Knoxville Police officers responded to an apartment complex Sunday for a report of a suspicious minivan and found fentanyl and other drugs inside.
Knoxville Police said that around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to an apartment complex on Woodlawn Pike after a caller reported that there was a minivan with Michigan license plates parked in the lot all day with people frequently getting in and out of the vehicle.

When the officers approached the vehicle, they found Torrie Foster, 23, of East Point, Michigan in the driver’s seat of the minivan with a backpack in his lap.
KPD explained that officers detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Court records explain that when they searched the vehicle and backpack, the officers discovered 78.71 grams of suspected marijuana, 25.84 grams of suspected fentanyl and 3.58 grams of suspected heroin.
