KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Hattie B’s Hot Chicken is turning up the heat in Knoxville with plans to open a restaurant near the University of Tennessee campus next year.
The new location will occupy the ground floor of the Hub Knoxville development on The Strip at 2001 Cumberland Avenue. A company spokesperson said that official permit applications and construction filings are being processed ahead of a planned opening in summer 2026.

Hattie B’s has expanded to seven Tennessee locations since opening in 2012. Restaurants have also opened in Alabama, Georgia, Texas, and Nevada. It earned a recommendation in the Michelin Guide’s inaugural American South Guide in November.
