A 24-year-old Rocky Top man and two juveniles are facing serious charges after a perilous incident where rocks were reportedly thrown at vehicles driving on I-75, as detailed by the Rocky Top Police Department. In a series of occurrences between December 19 and 21, numerous motorists faced damages and danger. In a statement obtained by WVLT, the department declared, “Several vehicles were damaged and motorists placed in danger.” Isaiah Bell, the adult accused, has been charged with four counts each of aggravated assault and vandalism, along with three counts of reckless endangerment, two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and criminal conspiracy.
Amidst the terrifying potential for tragedy, yet speaking to the physical consequences of the situation, one victim sustained a direct impact from the projectiles, suffering a stomach injury from a rock thrown while they were driving.
