Gatlinburg Announces New Year’s Holiday Hours for City Services and Facilities

As the end of the year approaches, Gatlinburg is preparing for its New Year’s holiday schedule with planned closures and service adjustments. According to the city’s official website, operational hours for various government facilities and public services have been announced for residents and visitors during the holiday period. In a recent release, the city stated that Gatlinburg City Hall and all government offices—including the City’s Customer Service Center and the administrative offices of the Gatlinburg Police and Fire Departments—will be closed on Thursday, January 1. Services are expected to resume on Friday, January 2, at 8 a.m.

The Gatlinburg Community Center will be adjusting its hours for the holiday, shutting its doors early at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, and taking a day off on Thursday, January 1. The center is set to welcome visitors back early morning at 6 a.m. on Friday, January 2. While the community center rests, the Gatlinburg Golf Course remains steadfast, keeping to its normal schedule with the Clubhouse open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. even on New Year’s Day.

Those worried about their holiday’s waste can breathe easy. Residential and commercial trash pick-up will stay on track, unaffected by the New Year’s Eve revelry and subsequent day of recovery.
