UT Medical Center implements visitor restrictions due to uptick in flu activity

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – The University of Tennessee Medical Center has implemented visitor restrictions because of a recent uptick in flu activity.

With the recent uptick, there are restrictions in place for anyone under the age of 12 in addition to anyone showing signs of illness, with the exception of those looking for medical care.

“Placing these limitations on visits to the hospital is done in an effort to prevent the spread of the flu and to protect the health and safety of our patients, visitors and staff,” UTMC said on its website…
