KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — As 2025 comes to a close, the Department of Safety and Homeland Security said Tennessee saw a significant drop in traffic fatalities over the course of the year.
Officials said that the state saw 1,045 traffic fatalities in 2025, compared to 1,194 in 2024. The department said this is a drop of about 14%.
