An essential piece of emergency equipment has gone missing, and the Lenoir City Fire Department is urgently calling on the public to help recover it. In a social media post, they’ve detailed that a Motorola 800 radio, crucial for Loudon County Fire & Rescue communications, was accidentally left behind on the back bumper of a Priority ambulance. The incident occurred after the ambulance departed from Fort Loudon Medical Center.
The radio is believed to have been lost along a specific route that includes Highway 321 and Highway 11, up to Sugarlimb Road. The department is highlighting that while the radio is designed solely for emergency services, it can be remotely locked, rendering it useless to anyone unaffiliated with the department.
