Knoxville woman charged with stealing thousands while working as bank teller, report says

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – A Knoxville woman is facing several charges after she reportedly stole thousands while working at a Farragut bank as a teller.

According to warrants obtained by WVLT News, 54-year-old Sherry Manz stole a total of $8,450 from multiple accounts while she was working at a bank on Parkside Drive in Farragut between Sept. 17 and Oct. 17.

Manz would forge withdrawal slips and signatures to complete the unauthorized transactions, the report said. Additionally, the bank had footage of at least one transaction showing her counting the cash and putting it in her pocket…
