Driver charged after Knoxville officers find guns, drugs and crossbow in car, KPD says

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Knoxville Police Department said a traffic stop by an officer led to the arrest of a 34-year-old man on multiple weapons and drug charges Tuesday night.

Officers stopped the vehicle on Martin Luther King Avenue and Ben Hur Avenue in East Knoxville around 10:00 p.m. Jan. 7 after it failed to yield at a red light and nearly caused a crash, police said.

KPD said that when officers asked the driver, Bobby Dockery, to step out, they spotted a glass pipe and a loaded handgun in the door of the vehicle…
