KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Dalton Swanger, the Knox County deputy who was injured during filming of “On Patrol: Live” has undergone surgery over six months after the incident, according to his girlfriend Stephania Pumphrey.
In a social media post on Friday, Pumphrey said Swanger underwent a cricotracheal resection, which is the removal of the damaged part of the trachea. She added he has a long road of recovery ahead of him, as his airway is being held together by stitches until it heals.
