KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Human trafficking is often hidden in plain sight, built on manipulation and control rather than force, a Knoxville survivor said as she spoke out on National Human Trafficking Awareness Day.
Brianna Campbell said her experience began when she was a child.

“I was in the 7th grade, and then it happened again when I was 15 and 17. I didn’t understand what was happening to me at the time. I just knew I was scared, controlled, and trapped,” Campbell said.
