KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Increasing clouds tonight with lows in the mid 30s. Winds will be southwest at 5-15 mph.
NEXT BIG COLD FRONT WEDNESDAY: Cloudy with a cold showers moving in late morning into the afternoon. Highs will only reach the mid 40s. Winds will pick up out the west and northwest by evening. Showers will start changing to wet snowflakes between 5 and 8 PM, especially in the mountains.
MOUNTAIN SNOW WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Windy and colder with accumulating snow in the Smoky Mountains. 2-5″ likely in the highest elevations. There may be a dusting to an inch in the foothills and in a few spots on the Cumberland Plateau. Flurries or a few snow showers are possible in Knoxville and across the Valley between 7 PM and midnight, but it won’t amount to anything in most locations. One or two heavier snow showers could put down a dusting, but those will be very isolated.
