Knoxville brewery and restaurant to close as owners cite ‘changing marketing conditions’

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Saint Lucille’s Kitchen and Last Days of Autumn Brewing both announced that they plan to close, with the last day open set for January 24.

Saint Lucille’s is a Cajun restaurant located at 8 Emory Place. Last Days of Autumn is at 808 E Magnolia Avenue. Both are owned by Mike and Tracy Frede.

In their post, the Fredes cite “changing marketing conditions” for the closure of Last Days of Autumn Brewing, which has been open for almost 10 years. In posts for both restaurants, the couple thanked their staff and customers.

“The path of entrepreneurship is often unpredictable, and while we’ve had many wins, we’ve also faced tough challenges that led us to where we are now,” they said of Saint Lucille’s. “Thank you for being part of our journey. We wish you all the best.”

For the Last Days of Autumn Brewing, they wrote in part, “We cherish the experiences we’ve shared and hope you’ll visit us one last time before we close.”…
