KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A Swiss company is bringing its futuristic “Robobarista” to the United States for the first time and it will be located here in Knoxville at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
A grand opening for the Smyze Robobarista presented by DKA Coffee will be held on January 20.
UT Medical Center emergency room expansion reaches major milestone
The autonomous machine will make over 50 different beverages, including coffee, tea, and craft sodas, to hospital staff and visitors at all hours of the day. It is capable of making over 100 drinks per hour, according to a UT Medical Center release, and will use locally-roasted beans from Maryville-based Vienna Coffee Company and Mayfield milk.
