Knoxville chefs in running for James Beard Awards (like Oscars for food)

Two of Knoxville’s most prominent chefs are in the running for yet another major national recognition.

Potchke co-owner and chef Laurence Faber, along with J.C. Holdway owner and chef Joseph Lenn, are semifinalists in the James Beard Awards, considered by many to be the “Oscars of the food world.”

Lenn is Knoxville’s only James Beard Award winner, having taken home the title of Best Chef (Southeast) in 2013. Faber is now in the running for that same title, while Lenn is looking to level up as he pursues the national recognition of Outstanding Chef…
