BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. — Changes are on the horizon at McGhee Tyson Airport. Southwest Airlines is set to begin operations on March 5, a new gate will be added to the airport, and construction continues on the new parking garage.
These expansions come as the airport, originally built to service 2.5 million passengers, is on the way to serving 4 million.
