MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Demolition of the old Holiday Inn tower on the University of Tennessee Health Science Center’s campus is entering its final phase.
The effort to take down the abandoned building on Madison Avenue has taken years. The university purchased the 12-story tower in 2015, along with two smaller adjacent buildings.
The smaller buildings were the first to be taken down. Demolition of the tower happened floor-by-floor.
