KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A downtown Knoxville office building with more than six decades of history is about to start a fresh chapter as it prepares for a contract with a new buyer.
The mid 1960s-era tower at 607 Market St. in the heart of downtown officially has a new buyer: LawlerWood, LLC, a Knoxville-based development company founded in 1975. The company’s website boasts a number of downtown projects, including Axle Logistics, as well as other projects throughout the area.
10News spoke with LawlerWood Executive Vice President Joe Petre this morning, and he confirmed that the company is set to buy the building. He also shared that their current plan is to go residential with the upper floors, while leaving the ground floor commercial.
