Two Rockford homes left with ‘severe damage’ after fire jumps from one house to another

ROCKFORD, Tenn. — Two homes suffered severe damage after wind caused one fire to spread to a second home in Rockford on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Blount County Fire Protection District.

The district said crews responded to a fire at a home on Littlebrook Circle — but because of 30 mph wind gusts and the closeness of the two homes, the fire spread.

“Both homes suffered severe damage, with flames visible through the roofs, and three vehicles were also damaged in the blaze,” the district said…
