KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – As snow continues to fall across East Tennessee, the Tennessee Department of Transportation said it’s very important to stay off the roads.
While crews are continuing to salt and plow state highways and interstates, TDOT officials said they are not safe to travel on due to the slick conditions and limited visibility.
There have been several incidents reported across the area, including a jackknifed tractor-trailer that caused multiple lanes of close on I-40 East near mile marker 385 in Knox County.
