KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The city of Knoxville announced that garbage and recycling pickup would be delayed for one day this week.
This means that those who normally have their trash picked up on Monday should expect to have it picked up on Tuesday instead, while those normally scheduled for Tuesday are now scheduled for Wednesday, and so on, from February 2 through 7.

The city added that crews plan to collect overflow from missed pickups last week. It asked people to place the overflow bags next to their carts. People should put additional recycling in cardboard boxes, not in plastic.
“Thank you for your patience,” the city said.
