Classes moved online due to dangerous conditions

For the second consecutive week, the University of Tennessee has moved Monday classes online for all students.

Students received an email at 1:28 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 1, confirming that, due to dangerous roads and conditions, campus will be closed.

According to WBIR, snowfall in Knox County ranged up to 8.5 inches on Saturday, creating dangerous road conditions in many areas that remain unplowed for residents.

Just as with last week’s cancellations, UT again assured students that all university residence and dining halls will remain open and continue normal operation throughout the day. An update on the university’s website states that “some hours of operation may change due to weather conditions.”…
