Oak Ridge Planning Commission Moves ED-6 Principles Discussion to March 12 Work Session

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (Feb. 2, 2026) – The Oak Ridge Municipal Planning Commission has postponed the discussion regarding proposed principles for the ED-6 parcel to a Planning Commission work session on Thursday, March 12, at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Oak Ridge Municipal Building Court Room.

The City’s goal is to ensure a transparent, public planning process that actively engages the community and incorporates public feedback. The proposed principles are intended to serve as a starting point, not a final decision, for a broader planning process related to the future of the ED-6 parcel.

This topic was postponed to March to allow City staff adequate time to review the overwhelming amount of public input received to date. Based on that feedback, the City will be revisiting the proposed principles and plans to hold a future public discussion forum to continue the conversation…
