KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A Knoxville-based building maintenance company has filed a notice that it plans to lay off more than 150 of its employees at the end of March.
According to a WARN notice filed on Tuesday, Premiere Building Maintenance Corporation is planning to permanently lay off 154 employees, effective March 31. The company is located at 1415 McCalla Avenue.

The number of layoffs accounts for approximately a third of the company’s employees. The company’s website states that it has more than 450 employees and provides services for businesses in Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Georgia and South Carolina.
The list of services Premiere Building Maintenance Corporation includes janitorial services, facilities management, post-construction cleaning, and mobile maintenance for various areas including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment.
