KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -Clouds will build throughout the morning with temperatures settling into the teens to low 20s before rebounding into the 40s this afternoon.
TODAY: We start the day off dry with an overcast sky and temperatures in the low 20s. With winds coming from the southwest, that will help temperatures warm into the middle 40s in the afternoon. Rain showers will begin to move west to east anytime after lunch, with most of us getting in on the widespread activity by 4 PM. Evening commute may be impacted. Rain will continue through the rest of the night and will taper off by Wednesday morning.
WEDNESDAY: While a few spotty showers are possible during the morning, not much coverage at this point. Clouds linger through the day with highs into the upper 30s once the front passes. With colder air rushing in, some moisture could be squeezed out on the mountains in the form of light snow or flurries, especially Wednesday late afternoon and evening. While flurries are possible across the lower elevation, majority look to remain mainly dry with only minor accumulation.
THURSDAY: Briefly cooler behind Tuesday’s cold front. High temperatures climb to the middle 30s with a partly cloudy sky…
