One dead with gunshot wound after Powell fire, KCSO investigating

POWELL, Tenn. (WATE) — The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a person with a gunshot wound was found dead during a fire at a mobile home Saturday night.

At 9:22 p.m., KCSO deputies and Rural Metro Fire responded to a fire at a single-wide mobile home in the 7800 block of Stanley Road off of Clinton Highway in Powell.  Callers said there may be people inside, so Rural Metro crews searched the home and found one person, who they brought outside.
