Oficials with Aid to Distressed Families of Appalachian Counties (ADFAC) have annouced that community leader George Paynter will be the next recipient of the Bill Wilcox Bow Tie Award.
Paynter will be celebrated at the Bow Tie Event & Fundraiser on the evening of Nov. 14 at the Oak Ridge Conference Center’s Edwena L. Crowe Grand Ballroom.
“There’s so much more than meets the eye when talking about George. There’s layers of personal perseverance, love for his family, commitment to his professional endeavors, and pride for his community. He’s a quiet leader but with big impact on others.
