Knoxville teen charged with DUI after Sevierville officer injured during chase, report says

SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) – A Knoxville teen is facing a slew of charges after an officer was injured during a police chase early Sunday morning.

According to an arrest report obtained by WVLT News, officers from several agencies began chasing a Honda Civic being driven at over 100 miles per hour by 18-year-old Danni Nunez Osorto on Parkway shortly after 4 a.m. on Sunday.

The report said Osorto, who was swerving all over the roadway with no lights on, spun out in the 200 block of North Parkway before ramming into a Sevier County Sheriffโ€™s Office cruiser and continuing down North Parkway.

Osorto continued onto Winfield Dunn Parkway, where he lost control again and hit a Sevierville Police Department cruiser, injuring the officer, according to the report. The injured officer was taken to the hospital for evaluation and released after several hours…
