Autopsy report reveals Blount Co. deputy died of head injuries after pursuit crash

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The autopsy report for a Blount County Sheriff’s Office deputy who died in a December crash shows he died at the scene from head injuries.

Deputy Justin Mowery died on Dec. 28 while trying to stop a motorcyclist driving recklessly. He was 30 years old.
