KNOX COUINTY, Tenn. (WATE) — Officials held a groundbreaking ceremony for Operation Hero’s Hill, a project to build tiny homes for homeless veterans.
“This has been an entire community project,” said Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs. “We’ve had so much support from every sector of the community.”

For this project, the county plans to build 20 homes for homeless veterans. The veterans will also have access to a community center with a computer lab and laundry facilities.
“Operation Hero’s Hill is our opportunity to show these veterans that just like they’ve had our backs in times of crisis, we have theirs when they need us,” Jacobs said…
