Students living in Reese Hall share frustration with hot living conditions

KNOXVILLE, Tenn — Some residents in Reese Hall saw temperatures rise to 90 degrees in their dorm rooms. The University of Tennessee students started expressing their frustrations with the uncomfortable living situation.

“You’re door room is where you live, so living conditions are very important,” Addison Hewitt, a resident in Reese Hall, said. “When you’re constantly uncomfortable, it messes with how you’re able to study and do homework and stuff, and it messes with your sleep.”

Hewitt said she avoids her room as much as possible and often goes to her friends’ apartments because she has such a difficult time sleeping with the heat…
