KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Construction has started on a diverging diamond interchange at Interstate 75 and Emory Road, with the Tennessee Department of Transportation aiming to move more cars through the area.
Judy Coffman, who travels Emory Road at least once a week for physical therapy, said she is concerned about upcoming traffic delays.
“If you are coming either way, you have a long wait,” Coffman said. “And if you start putting one-lane traffic or something, it’s just going to bog down, and you won’t get here. If you have to go in early to be at a job, you can’t hardly make it.”…
