Far eastern Tennessee is under a winter weather advisory with “occasional snow showers through Monday night,” according to the National Weather Service. Several schools are closed or will open on a delayed schedule.
Accumulations of up to 4 inches are expected ‒ with even higher totals at the top of Great Smoky Mountains peaks ‒ and it will be very cold and windy.
