A chilly Monday with frigid wind chill values and isoalted snow flurries.

Snow flurries are around the region this morning. Following the heaviest bands of snowfall, some isolated slick spots are possible. This is mainly for areas outside of the Valley. The mountains have the best chance for additional snowfall today. A general 1″-3″ of snow is expected in the mountains with the highest totals above 5,000ft in elevation.

Highs today will reach the low-to-mid 30s. It will be cloudy and breezy. Winds chill values will peak in the mid 20s this afternoon. The winds will settle tonight, but temperatures will tumble. Overnight lows will drop to the upper teens and low 20s. Patchy frost may be able to develop. Temperatures will begin to recover on Tuesday afternoon. Highs will reach the 40s thanks to breezy winds from the southwest. Some breaks of sun are possible.

The warming trend will continue on Wednesday with high temperatures in the mid-to-upper 50s. The winds will crank up out of the southwest with increasing clouds. This is all ahead of our next chance for rain…
