Sally Guthrie, an adjunct writing professor at the University of Maryland Global Campus who lives in West Knox County, has been following the story on the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie in Arizona in a more connected way than most observers.
They’re cousins by marriage. Nancy was married to Charles Guthrie, who was Sally’s cousin. And that makes Sally a second cousin to NBC’s “Today” show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie and her two siblings.
