Kodak man’s classic 1956 truck left in pieces after paying $25K for repairs

KODAK, Tenn. (WATE) — A Kodak man regrets taking his truck to a restoration shop a year ago, and paying more than $25,000 upfront, because today his truck is still in pieces.

Court records show the shop owner has a history of failing to finish his work. He’s been sued a number of times over the last few years, and twice this year. The most recent lawsuit was filed by Jeff Ratliff, who wanted his 70-year-old truck renovated with modern aftermarket upgrades. To have that done, Ratliff was told by the shop owner that he had to pay for the parts and labor in advance.
