DSB Provisions adds delicious taste of Italy in Maryville | Grub Scout

Developers have been sinking a lot of resources into elevating downtown Maryville to destination status. New restaurants continue to make their debuts not only on Broadway Avenue but also in the growing Greenway Village enclave, between downtown and the city’s municipal building. That area is where The Grub Spouse and I found DSB Provisions, a new — and, based on the early buzz, highly touted — Italian-cuisine restaurant.

The Spouse and I had a reservation for a weeknight and arrived to find both the split main dining room and the bar seating close to maxed-out status. A server escorted us to our table for two, near the bar, and we set about reviewing our options in terms of pre-meal beverages and Italian-rooted dishes. The wine list has vintages that are available both by the bottle and the glass, but I wound up choosing from among the draft beer selection.

The food menu is relatively limited in scope, beginning with shareable items like a charcuterie plate as well as tomato Parmesan arancini with pomodoro. We ordered the focaccia and hummus plate, which also features sun-dried tomatoes and balsamic vinegar ($9). We also decided to share one of the five salad/soup options, the Caesar salad, which is topped with a Parmigiano crisp and anchovies ($14)…
