95-year-old shares memories of Knoxville on birthday trip

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Margaret Ann Duffey and her daughter, Browning, were among the passengers on board Southwest Airlines’ inaugural flight from Nashville to Knoxville. The trip doubled as a homecoming for Duffey, allowing her to share some of her memories growing up in East Tennessee.

Browning is a flight attendant for Southwest Airlines. She arranged the trip as part of her mom’s birthday celebration.

“They gave us a free ticket and a ride to Knoxville, which was just more than I could imagine,” Duffey said. “My daughter really has gone overboard on this birthday.”…
