KNOXVILLE, (WATE) — Traffic on I-275 North near Heiskell Avenue is returning to normal after it was temporarily diverted after a semi truck struck an overpass, officials said Tuesday afternoon.
Knoxville Police shared that the diversion was put in place just before 4 p.m. after a semi-truck hit the undercarriage of the Heiskell Avenue overpass. The department said the diversion would be in place until debris could be cleared.

As of 4:45 p.m., all lanes of I-275 North had reopened.
