KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — It’s been more than three months since a painting contractor was paid for work at a Knoxville apartment complex he completed before Christmas. He called 6 News and showed the invoices he submitted in November and December.
Standard payment terms for contractors generally require payment within 30 days, once an invoice has been received. Depending on your contract, the terms can range up to 60 days, and after that, the payment is considered late.
