Knox County Sheriff’s Office finds six pounds of meth, three people charged

KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — Three people face charges after the Knox County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit and Organized Retail Crime Unit found six pounds of meth and five pounds of marijuana in a minivan, KCSO said.

Just after midnight on Friday, KCSO tried to stop a Dodge Caravan as part of an operation targeting the Detroit-to-Knoxville drug pipeline, law enforcement said. According to KCSO, the vehicle fled.

After a brief chase, detectives searched the minivan and found the drugs as well as more than $5,000 in drug proceeds, KCSO wrote.
