Former Knox County trustee’s office worker gets plea deal on misconduct charge

Jason Dobbins, the former deputy to Knox County Trustee Justin Biggs, agreed to a plea deal over one count of official misconduct. The charge will be dismissed after two years if he follows the court’s instructions.

In the agreement, Dobbins admits he drove a county vehicle for personal use. His attorney said in a press release Dobbins has made “full restitution to Knox County.”

Dobbins was charged Aug. 8 with two felony counts of official misconduct in connection with a wide-ranging investigation into whether elected officials and their employees took advantage of their public positions for personal gain.
