KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Vendors at Painted Tree in West Knoxville are scrambling to save their inventory. It comes after the consignment store franchise announced they were closing all of its locations nationwide.
In a statement sent to shop owners on Tuesday, the company said, “It is with deep regret that we write to inform you that Painted Tree Boutiques has made the very difficult decision to cease all business operations today; Painted Tree will not be conducting any further retail sales at any location.”
“I started 3D printing and about six months later, I decided to move into Painted Tree. Actually, next month would’ve been my 2-year anniversary here,” said Tony Rothweiler, owner of Tone3D “Altogether, I was in five stores and planning to expand into Memphis as well.”…
