A 67-year-old motorcyclist was killed Monday after a crash at the intersection of Clinton Highway and Tillery Drive in Knoxville, according to the Knoxville Police Department. First responders arrived around 11 a.m., and the rider was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Knoxville Police Department investigators said the motorcyclist was traveling south on Clinton Highway while an SUV was traveling east on Tillery Drive. According to officers, the motorcyclist allegedly ran a red light and hit the side of the SUV, which then struck another car and caused only minor damage. The 67-year-old rider, who has not yet been identified, was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center and pronounced dead. The crash remains under investigation, as reported by WVLT.
