‘Camera’ report at Whittle Springs Middle School unfounded, just a plastic screw cover, KCS says

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Knox County Schools said a reported camera in a middle school bathroom was determined to be a plastic screw cover on a vent, not a recording device.

The report came from a student at Whittle Springs Middle School, according to the district. Viewers had contacted 10News over the weekend asking about the incident. 10News reaches out to KCS and the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services.

School officials said staff investigated after the student raised concerns and found the claim to be unfounded…
