Knoxville Wholesale Furniture donates $50,000 to groups serving military, first responders

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Knoxville Wholesale Furniture donated $50,000 to several groups across East Tennessee, including the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, the Respect and Remember Foundation and Operation Hero’s Hill, during Wednesday’s “Knoxville Wholesale Furniture’s 250th Celebration. Honoring Our Past. Investing in Our Future.“ event.

Owner Tim Harris said the donation is about expressing gratitude to those who work a thankless job.

“We’re giving away $50,000 to the police, first responders, our canine division, the military, veterans affairs,” Harris said. “I always like to say we live in a wonderful community. One of the reasons why is it’s safe, and they keep it that way. They make us safe; they keep us safe.”…
