KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Knox Pride said they are closed on Thursday because there was a security incident with an ‘armed individual’ at its community and resource center.
According to the Knoxville Police Department, officers responded to Sam Duff Memorial Park around 2 p.m. Wednesday and found a 47-year-old man who is believed to be unhoused sitting near the park bathrooms with two knives.
KPD said Knox Pride staff told them the man had “caused a disturbance inside Knox Pride on May 5 and that they wished to have him trespassed from the business.”…
