Off-ramps can be one of the most stressful parts of a journey, with traffic patterns shifting and decisions that need to be made quickly.
Personal Injury Lawyers Regan Zambri Long recently polled 3,011 drivers to identify the most stressful off-ramps in the United States.
Tennessee’s top four include:
- I-40 at Exit 204 to Charlotte Pike, Nashville
- I-240 at Exit 15 to US72 (Poplar Avenue), Memphis
- I-75 at Exit 5 to Shallowford Road, Chattanooga
- I-40 at Exit 378 to North Peters Road, Knoxville
These exits are known for their high traffic volumes, short merge lanes and congested intersections, according to an announcement about the study. Drivers often encounter sudden stops and fluctuating speeds, leading to increased stress and risky driving behaviors, it noted.
