Knoxville Weather: Daily rain and storm chances continue

Daily chances for rain and storms will continue through the weekend with a low chance for flash flooding.

  • Tonight: Rain becomes spottier (40%), but staying mild, muggy and cloudy. Low: 64°.
  • Sunday: Scattered showers and a few storms (60%), especially in the afternoon/evening. High: 82°.
  • Memorial Day: Occasional showers and a few storms anytime of the day (70%), otherwise variably cloudy. High: 81°.
  • Monday night: Rain likely (60%) with a stray thunderstorm. Low: 65°.

There will be some additional, much-needed rain chances as we go through the Memorial Day Weekend, but it won’t be a total washout with continuous rain/storms 24/7. There will be some dry opportunities, but you may have to be patient to find them.

Scattered showers and a few rumbles will remain possible Saturday night into Sunday morning. It will stay mild and muggy with low temperatures in the middle 60s.

For Sunday, we will once again see some scattered showers and a few storms, but the more likely timing will be through the afternoon and evening hours. In between, we will see highs back in the lower 80s with a mix of clouds and some sunshine at times. The flash flood threat is low; however, if we can get some heavier downpours or training storms it could become more of a concern…
