LOUDON COUNTY, Tenn. — Two drivers have been indicted in separate fatal crashes on Interstate 40 in Loudon County, as officials urged motorists to use extra caution during the busy Memorial Day travel weekend.
The Loudon County Grand Jury returned indictments on May 11 against Ashley Rae Jones and Ethan Collins in connection with two deadly crashes near the Interstate 40 and Interstate 75 corridor in East Tennessee, according to Russell Johnson, the 9th Judicial District Attorney.
Johnson said the stretch of I-40 between Rockwood Mountain in Roane County and the I-40/I-75 interchange in Loudon County has experienced a high number of serious and fatal crashes in recent years.
